Ever since winning the election in 2015, Repiglican Sally Stalk has been making unpopular choices left and right. Her approval rating right now is at a record breaking low of 14%, and statisticians say that it will drop another 6% in the next year. The vice president Pellet Penny has also been facing some negative consequences.
To see why nobody likes Sally Stalk, let’s begin with her first major tax change, the “Wheek, wheek, wheek” tax bill , which was made just 2 months after she was elected. She stated that it would “benefit the poor” and “benefit those in need”. However, instead of raising the taxes for the upper class of workers in Guinea Pigtopia, she raised the taxes for the middle class pigs. Sadly, this allowed the rich to keep their already bountiful amounts of money and hurt the lives of the middle class.
3 months after the tax bill, she vetoed a law that stated that the guinea pig school requirements should be stricter. Currently, a guinea pig school only has to have a teacher, a classroom, and a principal’s office. Not even a litter room! Though the law would have helped improve such terrible conditions, president Stalk vetoed it on the grounds that “the money would be wasted and should be spent on better things, like renovating my old house”. This was met with huge disapproval across the country, dropping the approval rate by an astonishing 17%. When asked about how she felt about it, she shrugged and demanded more lettuce.
Many people also agree that Stalk chose poorly when appointing her Justices and Cabinet members. Her chief justice, Plum Rose has been making terrible decisions, especially when bribed with sugary fruits. Her cabinet members are no better, often making decisions to benefit their fat selves.
To top it off, she has taken the most vacation days out of any president – more than a years worth, and she still has 3 more years to go! Can Sally be trusted to make the right decisions, or will she bring us doom and despair? Remember to come back later to see if any new and interesting events happen.
